We recently commissioned DJ Ready Break to do some art work for one of our customers and were impressed at the results. Ready Break is known as the DJ for Sonny J, who has just released his new album to highly critical acclaim - something like the Avalanches, if you remember them from the early 21st century - but he is also involved with design and very occassionally will drop a canvas or two. Let us know if you are interested in commissioning a little something, something by him. You never know your luck!
Asaviour's Play 2 Win: Volume 2 mixtape is a compilation of new and unreleased hip hop tracks, freestyle sessions with Jehst, Dubbledge, Sir Smurf Lil, Ric Branson, Verb T and Yungun and is mixed by DJ IQ. It has some of Asaviour's trademark jazzy sounding tracks along with some more banga-type-material. Production credits include DJ IQ, The Last Skeptik, DJ IQ and Asaviour, LG, Jehst, Bill Zoot, Apatight and Saleem Dion. You can buy this and other releases by Asaviour on the Saving Grace Music website by clicking here.
Believe it or not, COPE2 would have liked to have been a boxer if he had not become one of the world's most recognised graffiti artists. Demian caught up with COPE2 at a press launch for his Adidas clothing range where he gave us his thoughts on Banksy, graffiti being co-opted by big business and graffiti's place in art galleries.
ATCH and SICK, two members of the KYS crew, are Kent's finest (there is no-one else!). We watched them doing their shizzle, creating some pretty graffiti at the Bullfields, Canterbury.
CLEAR and SKYHIGH are from Souf London and know a thing or two about using spray-paint. We hooked them up with the Change Fashion Show where they showed off their talents in front of a live audience while models pranced up and down the catwalk. All the money from the show went to Invicta FMs charity, Help A Kent Child.
The Foreign Beggars have been friends of Paint and Beatz from day! This track has them collaborating with some French rappers, over the top of a sick four-four beat. Something like Dizzee Rascal's and Wiley's new vibe... This is the future, trust us!
